Hi Amy! Thanks for your request. It's actually something we were considering adding, great to know there is a demand for it. We currently offer the feed via RSS, but we can also be followed on twitter @AdvisorUpside and on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/HNW-Advisor-eSuite.

Also, if you prefer, I recommend signing up for our e-newsletter on practice management and marketing, Practice Boost. You may do so at www.hnwadvisor.com.

JD - it's an interesting angle. Social media is such a powerful tool. I would love to hear if anyone using social media professionally in the financial services is focusing on the "social responsibility" aspect.

These are a strong collection of articles on social media... It will be interesting to observe how financial services firms begin testing the waters -- to find out what tactics will succeed versus which ones will fail. Perhaps placing an emphasis on corporate social responsibility via social media would be a good route to go, e.g., supporting international relief efforts and domestic needs.

Lauren, great story, very humorous and everyone can relate to it regardless of if you are selling financial services or any other service or product. The standard SLA in 2004 was 24 hours, in 2008 it was EOB, today your response needs to be immediate, on demand when the customer wants it! It can be at 3 a.m. in morning and believe me there will be someone out there to give them the information they are seeking. I can only imagine where we will be in 5 more years thanks to technology.

Thanks for shout-out. That post was boiling in me for a while. I follow some hashtags with a lot of automatic tweeters. Absolutely value-less.

This post is a good wake up call to those who have dismissed social media as being unimportant to the professional/business world. It applies to many other professionals and industries as well.

I definitely agree with what you says about using social media to boost your search engine ranking. These companies invest lots of $ in SEO and given the amount of traffic they get, it ultimately benefit the advisor. By using social media monitoring solutions like SocialWare or Arkovi, advisors are also able to comply with FINRA rules, which give them an edge over the competition.
